What to Expect

The Experience

Our Mini Donkey's love visitors and will be eagerly waiting for you to arrive.

Each donkey has a personality of their own and we can tell you all about their antics.  Donkeys love the company of people so talk to them, pet them, give them hugs and butt rubs but especially feed treats.

Visitor Policy

Visitor Policy

We give a short safety briefing before we enter the pasture with the mini's.  We want the experience to be a pleasure to both visitors and the donkeys.  Our property is accessible for wheel chair and assisted access.

Dress

Clothing & Shoes

For your safety and comfort wear durable shoes, not sandals or flip flops.  Avoid jewelry that may come loose and be lost.

Avoid Injury

Safety

Position yourself forward of the back legs.  Donkey's, unlike horses, can kick sideways as well as straight behind.

Treats

Feeding Treats

When feeding carrots protect your fingers by holding the carrot at the very end.  It is best for small children to hold the carrot with their hand flat with their fingers straight.

Movement

Move Slowly

All movements of hands and arms must be slow as to not scare the donkeys.  There should be no running toward the donkeys.  This will prevent their flight and possible injury to the visitor.
